Dear Exchange Participant,
EEX has fixed the necessary details for the introduction of an automated process for requesting and managing T7 User IDs in both the Member Section and the T7 Trading System on 12 December 2024.
User ID Configuration
With the implementation, your Central Coordinators and all Deputies will be authorised as User ID Maintainer (authorisation may be assigned to further Member Section users, if required) and be able to request the following User ID types and functions via the Member Section:
Function | Connection Types | ID Design |
---|---|---|
Trader | T7 GUI Trayport TT | TRDXXX GVPTXX TGWTXX |
Order Routing Access | T7 GUI, Trayport, TT | ORSXXX |
Direct Market Access | T7 GUI, Trayport, TT | DMAXXX |
Sponsored Access | T7 GUI, Trayport, TT | DMAXXX |
Algorithmic Trading | T7 GUI, Trayport, TT | ALGXXX |
View Only | T7 GUI Trayport TT | VIEXXX GVPVXX TGWVXX |
Service Administrator | T7 GUI | MBRSPX |
After the User ID request has been approved by EEX, your T7 Service Administrator will be able to set up and manage the requested and approved User IDs in the T7 Trading System.
Please note that the availability of a Service Administrator is essential for the process, so please make sure you have requested the setup as described in our Customer Information dated 28 October 2024 and please find the related documentation again attached.
As the Service Administrator may need to change the initial password of new T7 users, the access via the T7 GUI keys is recommended to be set up as described in chapter 3.2 of the updated EEX User Guide Member Section Technical Setups. If there is already a T7 GUI key in place, we recommend checking if the key is set up accordingly.
While the process for requesting a new User ID via the Member Section is restricted to the T7 Trading System for the time being, it will be possible to request the deletion of existing User IDs for all EEX Trading Systems, including Trayport ETS (Gas Spot System) and M7A (Emissions Primary Market Auction System).
Notification of connection of an Order Routing System or Direct Electronic Access
The current paper-based application and notification process for the connection of an Order Routing System or Direct Electronic Access will be replaced by requesting a related User ID (ORS, DMA) via the Member Section. The completion of a T07 form will no longer be required in this case but will remain to be necessary for the notification of an Other Electronic Access (OEA). For more details, please check the respective section in the Technical Implementation Regulation of EEX.
Please find the supporting documentation for the application process in the Member Section, the configuration process in the T7 Trading System as well as the updated Technical User Guide published in the User Guides section of the Member Section prior to the go-live.
Many thanks for supporting us with this important step to more independent and faster User ID management and please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
Yours sincerely,
EEX Member Readiness
