About EEX Asia

EEX Asia is a regulated futures exchange based in Singapore and is a Recognised Market Operator (RMO) regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). As part of EEX Group, a group of companies serving international commodity markets, EEX Asia is the home of its global commodities business and the group’s exchange in the region.

    Global Commodities

    Freight (Dry Bulk Freight)

EEX Group launched the Global Commodities business to support and enable customers to trade and clear a broader portfolio of products from a global perspective via both EEX and our Singaporean arm, EEX Asia. The Group’s offering comprises contracts on freight, fuel oil, iron ore and wood pellets.

    Member Readiness

In order to trade on EEX Group markets, companies need to complete the admission process at the respective market place. Proper settlement and collateralisation of transactions require the recognition as a trading participant by the respective clearing house – ECC for Europe and Nodal Clear for US markets.

    Technical Access

EEX Group provides multiple connectivity options to access its markets via a number of “front-ends”. Each access type is designed for simplicity and compatibility with the Trayport systems or in-house solutions. Depending on the individual requirements, customers can select the right solution from various front-end alternatives. Connection is possible via VPN, internet or leased line according to your individual requirements.

    Market Operations Services

The Market Operations Departments of EEX Group are the “heart” of the exchanges. They operate the platform on which our trading participants can buy and sell energy and commodity products. Our colleagues are the first point of contact for all questions relating to day-to-day business, our products and trading systems. Our mission is to ensure fair market prices and to prevent wrong market signals.

    Market Data Services

The Info-Product service comprises the provision of market data from trading at EEX Group exchanges (EEX, EPEX SPOT). Data from clearing on ECC as well as transparency data are also provided.

    Regulatory Reporting Services

EEX Group supports its clients in fulfilling their transparency and reporting obligations which arise in the framework of the regulations MiFID II, MIFIR, REMIT, MAR, EMIR and Transparency Regulation.
